Good, better, best
Giving the customer two or three options on one bid, at different prices, so they choose between yours instead of between you and someone else.
Instead of one price, the bid shows packages: the standard shingle and the premium one, the repair and the replacement, wood and composite. Each has its own price. The customer picks the one that fits, and the conversation is about which, not whether.
Most contractors who try it find the middle option sells most and the average ticket goes up, because the customer anchors on the best and settles on better.
