Common headaches for handymen and remodelers, and what this does about them

1

Punch-list jobs with six unrelated items

Type it rough on your phone. It comes out as a proposal in about two minutes, with your company name, terms, and warranty already on it.

2

Customers who want a written price for "a few small things"

It goes out as a real proposal by text or email in about two minutes, and they can sign it right there on their phone.

3

Looking like a handyman instead of a business

Your proposal goes out with your company name, license, terms, and warranty, a signature box, and a deposit button. It looks like it came from a company with an office.

What to spell out on a handyman bid

Useful whatever you write your bids in. These are the lines that keep a job from turning into an argument.

Put it in writing
  • A numbered list with every item named
  • Which parts the customer supplies
  • Your minimum charge
  • What is outside the list and billed separately

Say plainly that licensed trade work is not included where your state requires a license for it.

Questions from handymen and remodelers

Before you sign up.

Can I skip the deposit on small jobs?

Yes. Deposit is optional per bid. Leave it off and the customer just signs.

Can I bid a full remodel?

Yes. Longer scopes work the same way. Write it out, and it becomes a proposal with your terms and warranty.

Is the signature legally binding?

Yes. The customer types their full name and clicks Accept, and we record the name, date, time, and the exact proposal they agreed to. That meets the U.S. E-SIGN Act, the same law behind DocuSign.

Does my customer need an app?

No. They tap the link in your text or email, the proposal opens in their phone's browser, they read it and sign.

Does it change what I wrote?

It fixes spelling and lays your notes out cleanly. It does not add scope, exclusions, or promises you didn't make.

What does it cost?

$29 a month, flat. Unlimited proposals. Your first 30 days are free with no card, and you can cancel anytime.
