Proposal
The document a contractor sends to win a job: scope, price, timeline, terms, and a place for the customer to accept.
A proposal is the whole package. It describes the work, states the price and how it gets paid, says when the job happens and how long it takes, names the warranty, and ends with a way to say yes. When the customer signs it, it becomes the agreement for the job.
The best proposals are short. A customer reads the price, the scope, and the terms, in that order, and decides. Everything else is there to prevent the arguments later.
