Termite treatment estimate example
The warranty is the product on a termite job. Write what it covers in words the customer will read again in a year.
"subterranean termite treatment, trench and treat full perimeter approx 180 lf, drill and treat garage slab and front porch, patch drill holes, 1 yr retreat warranty renewable"
Example figures for a typical termite treatment job. Not a quote. Every line on the estimate came from the notes above. Nothing was added.
What to spell out on a termite treatment bid
- The method and the footage, so a partial treatment is not compared to this.
- Re-treatment versus repair warranty. They are very different promises.
- The renewal price and what the annual inspection includes.
- What the customer has to do: move stored items off the slab, keep mulch off the foundation.
On a termite job, the warranty terms are the product. Say what is covered, for how long, and whether it is repair or re-treatment.
The parts of this estimate
- Scope of work. 5 lines, one thing each, in the order the work happens. What is not included is on the list too.
- One price. $1,450. Not a formula, not a range. The scope explains the number.
- Timeline. 1 day. Including dry time, cure time, or permit time, so the customer plans around it.
- Payment terms. 50% upfront, 50% on completion. The $725 deposit is paid by card when they sign.
- Warranty. 1 year re-treatment, renewable annually.
- A way to accept. The customer types their name and signs with a finger on their phone. Legally binding under the E-SIGN Act, and recorded with the date, time, and the exact estimate they agreed to.
Questions pest control operators ask about this bid
Re-treat or repair warranty?
Most small operators offer re-treatment. A repair warranty is an insurance product. Say which, in those words.
Deposit?
Half is common because the product is bought for the job. Many operators take nothing and collect on the day.
Is this a real quote?
No. The numbers are example figures for a typical job so you can see how a complete estimate reads. Your price is yours.
Can my customer sign this on their phone?
Yes. An estimate sent from BidWriter Pro opens as a link. The customer reads it, types their name, signs with a finger, and pays the deposit by card. You get an alert when they open it and when they sign.
