Sod installation estimate example
Sod dies from watering, not installation. The bid is where that gets written down, before the brown spots.
"remove dead grass front yard approx 2000 sq ft, till and rake, add 1 in compost, grade away from house, install 2 pallets st augustine, roll, water in, customer waters per schedule"
Example figures for a typical sod installation job. Not a quote. Every line on the estimate came from the notes above. Nothing was added.
What to spell out on a sod installation bid
- Square footage and the sod variety.
- Soil prep, by the inch, because that is the difference between bids.
- Who waters, how often, and that survival is on the watering.
- Irrigation: flagged, and what happens if a head breaks.
Call for a utility locate before digging and say so on the bid. It shows the customer you have done this before.
The parts of this estimate
