House wash estimate example
The bread-and-butter job. The bid is a list of surfaces and a line about what will not come out.
"house wash 2 story vinyl siding soft wash, driveway and front walk pressure wash, back patio, no roof, cover and rinse plants, customer provides water"
Example figures for a typical house wash job. Not a quote. Every line on the estimate came from the notes above. Nothing was added.
What to spell out on a house wash bid
- Each surface on its own line, so "I thought the fence was included" is settled.
- Soft wash versus pressure wash, and which surfaces get which.
- That rust, oil, and paint failure are not stains a wash removes.
- Water source and that windows are rinsed, not squeegeed.
Stains that do not come out, like rust and oil, are the complaint. Say on the bid what you expect to lift and what you do not.
The parts of this estimate
- Scope of work. 6 lines, one thing each, in the order the work happens. What is not included is on the list too.
- One price. $525. Not a formula, not a range. The scope explains the number.
- Timeline. Half a day. Including dry time, cure time, or permit time, so the customer plans around it.
- Payment terms. Due on completion. Nothing down. The customer pays when the work is done.
- Warranty. Missed spots touched up within 7 days.
- A way to accept. The customer types their name and signs with a finger on their phone. Legally binding under the E-SIGN Act, and recorded with the date, time, and the exact estimate they agreed to.
Questions pressure washing contractors ask about this bid
Should I charge for the roof?
A roof is a soft wash with different chemistry and more risk. Price it as its own line or its own package.
Any deposit?
No. Small job, due when you are done. The signed estimate is what matters.
Is this a real quote?
No. The numbers are example figures for a typical job so you can see how a complete estimate reads. Your price is yours.
Can my customer sign this on their phone?
Yes. An estimate sent from BidWriter Pro opens as a link. The customer reads it, types their name, signs with a finger, and pays the deposit by card. You get an alert when they open it and when they sign.
