Wood privacy fence estimate example
Fence bids are feet and posts. The property line sentence is the one that keeps you out of a dispute with the neighbor.
"180 lf 6 ft cedar privacy, steel posts set in concrete 8 ft oc, 3 rails, 1x6 cedar pickets, 2 walk gates with steel frames, remove old chain link, haul off, utility locate, customer confirms property line"
Example figures for a typical wood privacy fence job. Not a quote. Every line on the estimate came from the notes above. Nothing was added.

Questions fence contractors ask about this bid
Steel or wood posts?
Name which. Steel posts are the upgrade customers pay for once they know why.
Should I stain it?
Offer stain as an add-on with a price. Fresh cedar should dry a few weeks first, so it is often a second trip.
Is this a real quote?
No. The numbers are example figures for a typical job so you can see how a complete estimate reads. Your price is yours.
Can my customer sign this on their phone?
Yes. An estimate sent from BidWriter Pro opens as a link. The customer reads it, types their name, signs with a finger, and pays the deposit by card. You get an alert when they open it and when they sign.
